This seminar will demonstrate how the features of Microsoft® Office SharePoint Server 2007 and K2 blackpearlTM can be successfully harnessed for construction based projects. The benefits of having a sustainable, reliable and flexible infrstructure will also be discussed. These issues are hugely relevant for construction and property development organisations, architects, as well housing associations that carry out development projects.  Speakers from Waterstons, Microsoft, University of Northumbria, Stewart Milne Group and K2 will offer insights into the challenges the market faces and how SharePoint can:

  • enable documents to be easily controlled, so that the latest version is always visible and versions are tracked
  • provide project templates and wizards with relevant document libraries, workflow and security
  • customise the site to reflect company branding
