Waterstons’ dedication to providing excellent customer service has been recognised with further success at the North East Business Awards.
Waterstons is thrilled to have been named the winner of the Services category for the whole of the North East region. The award was judged on the finalist’s ability to demonstrate how they have achieved and exceeded quantifiable business goals while delivering a market leading service to their customers.
Gail Peters, Head of Marketing at Hay & Kilner, judge and sponsor of the Services category commented “Waterstons demonstrated all the qualities we were looking for in a winner. These included an innovative and fresh approach to delivering its services and an in depth knowledge of their customers’ business. We were also impressed with the culture of openness and knowledge sharing at Waterstons which involves every member of staff as well as the company’s belief that the key to superb service is capable, well trained and empowered individuals who definitely go the extra mile.”
The North East Business Awards, organised by The Journal and The Evening Gazette, are now in their tenth year and celebrate the entrepreneurial drive, financial acumen and ambition of the North East business community.
Members of the Waterstons team attended the lavish awards ceremony at Hardwick Hall Hotel on 29th April along with representatives from leading businesses from all over the North East, including a number of our own customers.
Sally Waterston, Waterstons Customer Services Director commented “It is absolutely brilliant to win this award. It is a credit to every one of our employees who all work so hard to understand and help our clients. We are all delighted”.
In order to reach the North East final of these awards, Waterstons had to overcome tough competition from Siemens IT and Aquajoy Bathlifts to be named the winner for the Durham and Teesside region. The North East final saw Waterstons beat off competition from Cornerstone Business Solutions and Connect Physical Health to be acknowledged as providing outstanding customer service.
