Waterstons celebrate significant contract win at Home
Durham-based business and IT consultants Waterstons are celebrating after winning a major contract with leading housing, care and support services provider, Home. The contract will see Waterstons act as “implementation partner” for Home’s Internet, Intranet and Extranet (IIE) strategy.
The strategy is designed to bring together 4000 people from 500 locations as well as streamlining Home’s business systems and data. Microsoft SharePoint will be used to provide portals for employees and associates, allowing them to access company information from any device, in any location and workflow applications will be used to streamline and improve business processes across the group.
Waterstons’ executive consultant, Alistair McLeod said “Home are passionate about delivering high standards of customer service and we are going to help them use the latest communication and collaboration technologies to achieve those goals.”
“This technology will give Home the ability to collaborate and share documents with suppliers, tenants, construction companies and other third parties in any location. In addition, we’ll be adopting a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) framework to give Home a flexible and dynamic IT architecture which will enable them to adapt easily and quickly to market demands.”
Home’s IIE Project Manager, Paul Kelly said “We were looking for an IT consultancy that we could build a long term partnership with and Waterstons’ track record demonstrated a commitment to doing just that. In addition, their technical competency and customer intimate style of doing business provided a close fit to our requirements.”
Waterstons will provide strategic guidance and project management as well as undertaking a technical role, assisting Home with projects such as business process re engineering, system integration, software development and a knowledge exchange with Home’s staff.
