SUCCESS AT GREAT NORTH RUN FOR TEAM WATERSTONS

Four members of the Waterstons team yesterday braved the soaring temperatures to take part in the world’s biggest half-marathon, The Great North Run.

Alistair McLeod, Richard O’Connor, Katie Matthews and Andrew Gill ran the 13.1 miles with Richard managing the fastest time of the four at 1 hour 55 minutes.

Richard said “It was a great day and most importantly I managed to raise a decent amount of money for my chosen charity. Thank you to everyone who sponsored me.”

A total of £1660 was raised, which will be split between 3 very worthy causes, the NSPCC, COCO and Barnard Castle YMCA.
