Waterstons has supported St Cuthberts Hospice since 1994 with IT services worth over £35,000.

Waterstons are currently redeveloping the St Cuthbert’s Hospice’s website to accommodate information about the increasing range of services and its growing calendar of fundraising events. This work is being carried out free of charge by Waterstons.

Sally Waterston, said “We are pleased to support the valuable work carried out by St Cuthbert’s Hospice. It is very important to contribute to the local community and as Waterstons continues to grow we are able to offer more and more support.”

This September, St Cuthbert’s Hospice will recognise 21 years of providing free care services to people with life limiting conditions in the local community. Waterstons have donated a top of the range laptop for St Cuthbert’s Hospice’s 21st Anniversary raffle draw.

“The support we have received from Waterstons has been fundamental to the Hospice’s development,” says Angela Dinsdale, Chief Executive of St Cuthbert’s Hospice. “As we continue to develop our services and attract increased levels of public support, it is important that our IT facilities and website are able to keep up with our progress.

As a charity, we rely on voluntary donations in order to raise the £1 million needed each year to continue our work, so we are hugely fortunate to benefit from Waterstons’ exceptional professional standard of IT services. They kindly provide us with their expert staff time; website development and IT support services free of charge, which have saved us over £35,000 in costs. This is a huge saving, which we can use instead to provide care to local people with life limiting conditions.”
