About the role
We’re looking for a placement student to join our People and Culture team. The role will involve everything from recruitment and onboarding, to wellbeing, engagement and development of our people. We’re growing fast and so it’s a great time to get some hands on experience in a dynamic and progressive organisation that are operating internationally. We’re keen to give you support to enable your development as well as opportunities to take a lead in projects and delivery of initiatives, so it really is up to you to show us what you’re capable of.
You’ll be studying towards a business degree with an active interest in Human Resources. Traditionally we'd be known as HR but at Waterstons, there’s so much more to it than that; people are central to everything we do and our culture is extremely important to us.

We're passionate about development and you’ll be encouraged to be the architect of your own progression. With a passion for continuous improvement, you will be a proactive self starter and have the confidence to lead on decision making.
Skills & experience
We’re looking a people person with excellent communication skills. We hope you’ll be comfortable interacting with others and sharing knowledge. You’ll be organised, diligent and solution driven with a can do attitude.
Grades aren’t everything but we want to see that you are committed to your development, have drive and enthusiasm and a desire to progress within a non traditional HR role.
