Amy Chapman

Project Manager

I joined Waterstons in July 2015, on placement as a consultant within the Bespoke team. I am currently working towards a degree in Computer Science at Northumbria University, which is where I initially heard about Waterstons during a talk on Consultancy. The chance to work with clients and develop bespoke projects for them sounded very rewarding as well as challenging. This and the fact that Waterstons are so supportive of their own people made me jump at the opportunity to work here. I am really looking forward to working within the very talented team here during the year ahead and building upon the skills I have learned during my time at university.

I really enjoy the problem solving element that development brings and the sense of accomplishment that comes with developing a program. The fact that technology is part of almost every aspect of daily life is why I find development so exciting and important. I love the idea that I could develop something which could have a positive impact on the lives of others.

Outside of work

I enjoy nothing more than fussing over my pet miniature poodle – although he isn’t always as keen as me – and grooming him to ensure he has the typical fluffy poodle look. I also really enjoy horse riding and I am hoping to have the opportunity to do more of it in the near future.
