Data & Analytics Consultant

Life Before Waterstons

I first joined Waterstons in the summer of 2018 as a Software Consultant. I was working as part of my industrial year for my Computer Science degree with the University of Reading. After an extremely enjoyable year, I left to finish off my degree with the intent of joining the Royal Navy after I graduated. Unfortunately, it was not quite the life I had hoped for and I dropped out of training. I started to wonder where I could work that would make me feel happy and fulfilled; it wasn’t long before I decided I wanted to come back to Waterstons. I re-joined as a Data and Analytics Consultant and am thrilled to have returned.

Working at Waterstons

Joining the Data and Analytics team has brought new challenges to my professional life as it is a new area for me. I am fascinated by the way we can use data to improve so many different parts of a business, especially in how we can take a rather uninspiring database and visualise it as something informative and insightful. Although new to the team, I already feel like an integral part and am excited to start working with our clients.

Outside of Waterstons

Whilst living in Durham for my placement year, I found an unexpected love in salsa and Latin dancing, so I guess I should thank Waterstons for that! When restrictions aren’t in place, I am very much looking forward to start dancing again and maybe even host a lesson for my fellow colleagues. I am a keen cook and enjoy trying new recipes, and when the weather is nice, I like gardening and playing basketball.
