Caz Graham

Bespoke Support Consultant

I’m a bit of a generalist and will happily try anything I think sounds interesting. My degree is in Robotics which started me off working as an engineer for nuclear submarines and automated weapons systems. When I moved back to the North East I became a contractor in IT followed by a brief stint teaching Computer Science in secondary schools. After deciding teaching was more stressful than live testing the auto-cannons I moved into Development where I have been ever since. I joined Waterstons after hearing about their brilliant culture and values. They stood out as a company where I wouldn’t need to sacrifice my morals to progress my career which is a line I’m unwilling to cross.

How it all started…

My passion for all things technology related started when I received my first games console at the tender age of 7. Since then my interest has only grown, especially with more and more interesting concepts being made a reality. I love to try new things and will jump at any opportunity to get involved with the latest tech. Right now I’m exploring the relatively new world of VR and AR, a technology I feel has huge scope for future use in both the entertainment and industrial sectors.

Outside of work…

When the weather is nice I like to get out for walks in the dales. As a farmer’s daughter, I live and breathe the countryside. Day trips to historical places are always good and Beamish is a firm favourite.

I’m a huge geek so video games, board games and reading books feature heavily in my free time. I also love to write. I’ve finally committed to finishing one of my many novels and have an agent lined up with first refusal rights when I put the finishing touches to it. It’s both exciting and terrifying!
