Chris Stothard

Software Consultant

Having completed a degree in Computer Science at Northumbria University in 2014 I went straight into software development. I joined a small company of four developers and worked on a range of bespoke solutions for all sorts of companies. Being part of such a small team gave me the opportunity to play a part in the whole development process; from initial contact with a new client through to delivering the final product.

After nearly six years, I decided it was time for a change and I joined Waterstons in March 2020 as part of the bespoke team. Having read about the company, it seemed like a good fit for someone with my experience that wanted to continue working closely with clients. I started in the midst of the global pandemic, and despite the office being closed and people working remotely, everyone was very welcoming and friendly.

Outside of work I have too many hobbies! I love going out to eat and trying the restaurants the North East has to offer. Rock climbing and going to the gym help me work off all that tasty food. Other than that, if I’m not playing a video game or the guitar, my wife and our cats are slowly working our way through our Netflix watchlist.
