Originally from Nottingham I have spent most of my adult life in the north and absolutely love rural life. In 2013 I graduated from Teesside University after studying Computer and Digital Forensics and fled to London for a brief period working for one of the big four accountancy firms in their forensic technology division. Deciding London wasn’t for me I came back to the north and started working for Waterstons in June 2016 and I can honestly say I have never felt so welcomed to a workplace.
Writing this in my first month at Waterstons I have already booked my first certification exam for the MCSA and I’m looking to work towards my CISSP in the future.
My real passion in the world of technology is the deep dark world of security. It might be working, but is it secure?! Whether it’s network, application or physical security I’m always happy to try and break it... Last summer I learnt lock picking for this very reason!
I’m always looking to provide the best customer service possible to meet my own very high standards and love solving the more challenging problems we encounter day to day!
I can usually be found in one of two places during my spare time; up a mountain or beside an F1 track (albeit sometimes via the proxy of a sofa).
Most weekends I’ll be mountain biking somewhere in the UK, but if I’m very lucky I’ll be abroad hitting the ski slopes in some far flung place! When I’m not out and about I’ll be watching the F1 and supporting Red Bull Racing... Sorry Hamilton fans, but Ricciardo is my man!
