Dominic Citrone

Assistant Management Accountant

My interest in finance stemmed from studying Business at sixth form. I was fascinated by the complexity of all the factors that contribute to the idea of “success”. This interest led me to studying basic bookkeeping at college on an evening after sixth form. After going on to studying Accounting and Finance at Newcastle University I knew that CIMA was the professional route I wished to follow because of the blend of business and finance aspects.

After a placement during University as an audit associate, as well as a couple of temporary roles in finance administration and purchasing it confirmed that I specifically wanted to pursue the CIMA qualification in my future role. During this period I had the opportunity to look briefly into a range of financial aspects including: cash, debtors, creditors, PPE, payroll, equity, expense classification, starter and leavers, depreciation and daily cash.

That was one of the features that attracted me to Waterstons combined with the exceptional values and ethos in place. Joining as a Finance Assistant in an expanding environment is exciting and will help test and diversify my knowledge allowing me to continually grow.

Outside of work I have a keen interest in fitness as well as combat sports, mostly MMA and boxing. When I get the opportunity I enjoy travelling to different cities and seeing different landmarks and cultures.
