Fiona Ward

People and Culture Business Partner

I have been in HR for more years than I wish to admit! My background has largely been in manufacturing and engineering although I had my own consultancy for a number of years with clients in academia, public sector, logistics and health sector. In 2014 I took a sabbatical for an couple of years to finish an OU psychology degree and then went on to do a Clinical Psychology Masters at Newcastle University. Having scratched the academic itch I returned to the HR profession.

I joined Waterstons in January 2020 and have been really struck by Waterstons progressive approach to its people and how that is embraced by our teams. I am really proud to be supporting our people achieve the best they can.

When not at work I am part of the DARC junior rowing support team – be it chauffeur, cheerleader or pre race psychologist. I also enjoy being creative through quilting, knitting or sewing.
