Michael Leaback

Technology Consultant

Life before Waterstons

I have spent most of the last 4 years at the University of East Anglia where I completed a degree in Business Information Systems and a MSc in Business Management; learning about developing systems and the importance of human integration within IT systems – along with learning to cook and look after myself! I also took part in some tutoring for the Computer science school at UEA and volunteered at a US summer camp, where I was an IT technician, bunk counsellor and volleyball coach. University was truly the best time of my life and I cannot wait to put all the skills I’ve learned into practice at Waterstons.

Life at Waterstons

Starting as a new graduate at Waterstons I have lots to learn and new ideas to offer. I love actively engaging and speaking to new people, I’m very excited to meet and work with talented people across different industries and expanding my knowledge as much as possible.

Life outside of Waterstons

I’m a naturally extroverted person, which leads me to often be competitive outside of work, whether it be on the court, football pitch or when playing my favourite video game, League of Legends. My biggest passion is playing volleyball for my local team in East London - the London Lionhearts - where I tour across London competing and (hopefully!) winning. As well as all of that, you’ll most likely find me exploring the back streets of London, singing karaoke or watching Chelsea win the league.
