Important information regarding widely reported security incident

We are aware of a critical zero-day vulnerability affecting all Windows operating systems. Our information suggests this impacts all versions of Windows

This vulnerability can allow a remote attacker to execute malicious code, and may allow them to take control of your systems. You may have seen today’s news regarding the cyber-attack on NHS England, which was delivered by exploiting this vulnerability.

Microsoft have released a patch which you should install immediately. In order to work out which patch to install for your specific environment, please refer to this Microsoft Security Bulletin.
