Chris Anderson

Senior Technology Consultant

I have worked in Information Technology since leaving school, with a career spanning both the military and civilian sectors. I took the IT apprenticeship route into the industry before joining the Royal Air Force as an ICT technician. I worked in a variety of roles ranging from service desk through to 3rd-line support, providing and deploying communications to armed forces personnel worldwide.

After eight years I decided to leave the RAF, starting my transition back to 'civvy street' before joining the Infrastructure Consulting team at Waterstons in Autumn 2016.

I relish working on IT projects to design and provide solutions to meet client IT requirements, each one different and unique.

I have particular interests in virtualisation, storage and backups; since joining Waterstons my experience in these technologies has been tenfold and has led to VMware Certified Professional (VCP) accreditation. At the time of writing, I'm also working towards Veeam Certified Architect.

Outside of work I am kept busy with my three young children, I also enjoy keeping fit and playing rugby (so long as body permits me too) every week for Darlington RFC.
