My role at Waterstons is...
I'm part of the SOC team and deal with all security issues that come our way, whether that be internally or with our amazing clients. It can be something as simple as blocking a phishing email, to something as complicated as dealing with a company-wide ransomware attack. It's my job to make sure that our clients are as security conscious as they can be, and to help them in every concerning situations.
My proudest Waterstons moment is...
One thing I am proud of is helping our amazing problems team create a PowerShell tool specifically for use in SOC (security operations centre) team. This custom tool allows us to investigate and remediate breached accounts in a matter of minutes and then generates a log of all actions taken.
My life away from work is...
Outside of work I enjoy playing badminton in my spare time. I’ve played for many teams over the years. I’ve represented my university, my county, my town, and I've even represented the North West of England in the past. I hope to get back into it soon! I enjoy going to the gym when I can. I also enjoy online gaming as a way of staying in touch with my distant friends.
