Eduardo Echarri

Technology Consultant

I started at Waterstons on the 13th of April 2015, some superstitious people would think that starting on the 13th would be unlucky, but working for Waterstons is probably the luckiest thing I have done in my career.

In the office

Since joining Waterstons I have been working with many customers to resolve their issues. I get to deal with some really interesting issues and I get exposure to many items including RDS, Citrix, remote apps, Vmware, and Datacore. I enjoy writing scripts that ease some of the administration and tasks we perform and also enhance our customer's environment. An example being the tools I created to allow users to log off remote app environments and Citrix servers – these have been well received giving the customer the ability to resolve app lockouts in a fast and efficient manner. I have even managed to give some of our customers support in Spanish.

I would like to think that I have fitted in to the team quickly and feel very much at home here. I am the kind of person that owns something and sees it through to completion. I never have a dull day in the office – although I'm sure some of my colleagues would disagree as I sometimes see them roll their eyes when I tell one of my stories from the places I have worked.

Outside the office

I am married and have a beautiful daughter – I love to spend time with my family. Being half Spanish, I enjoy the delights of outdoor cooking, and enjoy doing a barbecue or cooking paella on my outdoor ring.

My hobbies are photography and walking outdoors. I am at my happiest being on a mountain, with no telephone or internet signal.
