I recently joined Waterstons in Managed Services as part of the Service Desk team. I graduated from the University of Sunderland in 2012, with a 1st Class Honours degree in Network Systems, and immediately started my IT career providing first line support for a major broadcasting corporation’s IT system; progressing to second line support in the 5 years I spent there. I decided to join Waterstons because they provide fantastic opportunities to support IT for many clients from different sectors whilst also having the opportunity to progress my own skills and knowledge at the same time.

I enjoy interacting with clients by helping solve problems they may have, carrying out service requests and understanding how they use IT technologies within their business. I’m also enjoying the variety and challenges that come from supporting many clients because no day is the same and you’re always learning to understand a client’s business. There are also a lot of technically intelligent people to collaborate with. I’m an Apple Certified Support Professional and have ITILv3 Foundation. I would like to achieve certifications in Cisco and Microsoft technologies too.

Outside of work, my leisure time is divided between travelling the world and playing golf. I have played a few golf courses all over the UK and have also travelled abroad to Marbella and Turkey. My favourite trip so far has been travelling from the West to East Coasts of America which included a 10-hour drive down highway one from San Fransico to L.A with a short stop at Pebble Beach.
