Support for Scottish businesses

Alongside the Scottish Business Resilience Centre (SBRC) we're offering businesses a free cybersecurity assessment.

Categories Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001

The Scottish Business Resilience Centre (SBRC) is offering free cybersecurity assessments to hundreds of firms in the New Year.

The SBRC is offering 280 Scottish organisations a free Cyber Essentials pre-assessment gap analysis, which will be delivered through its network of trusted partners.

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has recorded 2.7 million cases of cyber fraud in the UK over 2021-22, and the SBRC says: "Organisations must be on the front foot when it comes to their cyber resilience in 2023."

As part of the initiative, we are working with 14 businesses to highlight areas for improvement, and help them to pass their Cyber Essentials accreditation

Head of Cyber Assurance at Waterstons, Craig Archdeacon said: "As long-standing partners of SBRC, we're proud to support this initiative and share our knowledge and expertise.

"Particularly for small organisations that are reliant on funding, cyber security can often be neglected, potentially leading to breaches and stolen data which can be costly and detrimental both financially and reputationally.

"We're honoured to be selected by SBRC to provide something so vital to those who do incredible work."
