Dave Hooper

Executive M&A Consultant

David Hooper

My role at Waterstons is...

Working with customers as part of the M&A team to carry out due diligence work or plan post deal IT strategies.  I also do a lot of applications architecture work whether that be as part of a wider strategic review or to understand and challenge your needs so that I can design a suitable solution and approach for delivering them. I concentrate on M&A but after 13 years in the software and data teams I still regularly work with them and also with Business Consulting.

My proudest Waterstons moment is...

I used to do a line management role at Waterstons and seeing some of the graduates I looked after being promoted to Senior and then Executive Consultants was really really great. If you get to work with Chris or Adam then you're in great hands!

My life away from work is...

I love understanding how things work. This ranges from maintaining classic cars, keeping up to date with scientific discoveries, learning about number theory or understanding microprocessor design. I also like board games, running, books, film and science fiction. Best of all is when I can combine several of these at once (running whilst listening to a podcast about scientific films for example!)

I’ll be with you when...

You've got a problem and you don't know how to go about solving it. I've worked across many business sectors and with all the departments at Waterstons. I'll listen to your concerns, speak your language, understand what you need and we'll work out how to make the most of your opportunity.

My sector strengths are...

  • Financial Services
  • Housing
  • Local Government
  • Manufacturing
  • Professional Services
  • Education
  • Distribution & Transport
  • Architecture, Engineering & Construction
  • Marine Services
