My role at Waterstons is...
I work closely with our customers to design and implement a broad range of technologies, usually in response to large transformation projects, such as divestments, mergers or acquisitions. I often describe it as "rebuilding the plane whilst it's still flying"! I value being involved on long-term engagements where you can really get to know how a business ticks, who the people are, and how best to add value.
My proudest Waterstons moment is...
Seeing a big team effort result in... nothing! A recent divestment project was nine months of solid effort culminating in technical migrations to new greenfield systems; it was really rewarding both for the team and myself to see them not really be noticed by the business.
My life away from work is...
Mostly family - three children and home life take up most of my time! I also enjoy both cooking and running; they probably balance each other out...

You're going through a large business or technology change. At the end of the day, IT is there to serve the business; it's important that the day-to-day work of your staff is impacted as little as possible, even in major change projects.
