I joined Waterstons in July 2015 as a Placement student and returned as a Graduate in 2017 after graduating from Northumbria University with a 1st Class degree. I currently work within the Managed Service department working to support our clients as part of our Service Desk team.

My role varies from day to day, but I often makeup part of our proactive monitoring team, which monitors and maintains a wide range of infrastructures such as SAN infrastructures, physical and virtualised server infrastructure and various network infrastructures to name a few. Whilst a lot of our work tends to be reactive, we often pre-empt issues by proactively monitoring our clients’ infrastructure to intervene before problems occur and maintain service with little to no downtime where possible.

I have recently began to gain accreditations such as ITILv3, DCIE and MCSAs which helps demonstrate my knowledge and improve on it. I’ll continue to expand my skill set as I continue gaining other accreditations.
